Costa del Sol Beach. It presents natural conditions of great beauty. The beaches of San Marcelino, Los Blancos, La puntilla are part of this área, the latter is where the beautiful Lempa River flows, which connects with the Jaltepec estuary that orders the blue zone Lempa River, and visit Los Negritos beach, still virgin.

COSTA DEL SOL BEACH
The Costa del Sol It has the beach of the same name considered one of the best and most famous beaches in El Salvador. This extraordinary Salvadoran beach has a wide extension that ranges from 12 to 15 kilometers, considering it the longest beach in El Salvador. In this place the great majority of Salvadoran coastal marine birds converge, serving as a nesting site for many of them, it also houses a great diversity of terrestrial species associated with bodies of water and lowlands in general. The Costa del Sol is home to a great variety of mammals, reptiles, local and migratory birds, and a marine fauna that makes it a unique tourist attraction.
It is the beach area with the greatest hotel development in Salvadoran tourism, in recent years the beach of the Costa del Sol has been modernized by leaps and bounds, offering a varied hotel infrastructure, much visited by national and foreign tourists who enjoy a place attractive and unforgettable.
Day 5: Costa del Sol – Santa María Ostuma – Verapaz – Peace Route
07:00 | Depart to Santa María Ostuma crossing the Nonualco Region until you get to the pineapple town, Santa María Ostuma. You will see the countryside planted with the fruit and taste different pineapple products. |
09:30 | We will continue to “Las Moliendas” in Verapaz, San Vicente, to learn about the process of making traditional products made by hand from sugar cane. During the tour of the plant, they will explain the process step by step, you will also taste the different products. |
12:30 | For lunch you will enjoy a typical and gastronomic dish outside in the shade of the trees in one of the “Moliendas” |
14:00 | We continue our trip to the city of SanFrancisco Gotera. Accommodation at Hotel San Francisco |

Day 7 Coffee & Henequen tour Peace Route
09:00 | Depart to a different experience. |
09:30 | Learn about coffee, you will see the plants, how is dried in the so called “African beds”, how is roasted, and even taste it. |
12:00 | Go for lunch at los Portales de Jocoaitique |
13:30 | This afternoon you will go back on time and learn about “Henequen“ fiber. Start by gathering the natural fiber up to the elaboration of handicrafts and other utilitarian products. ¿Would you make your own? |

Day 6 San Francisco Gotera – Río Sapo – Perquín
08:00 | Visit “La Casa de La Cultura” with some interesting history of the zone and the church of the town enjoying of a nice city tour of San Francisco Gotera town. |
09:00 | Depart to Río Sapo to splash in the natural pools. It is a rural zone to enjoy nature. |
10:00 | Enjoy of the clear waters of Río Sapo in the Protected natural area. A little cabin at the spot will be your shelter to change cloth before continuing your tour |
11:00 | As you go to for lunch, you will pass by El Mozote town where there is a monument for the community that died during the war. |
12:30 | For lunch you will be at Finca Ecológica La Esperanza |
14:00 | Continue to Perquín after lunch |

Day 8 San Francisco Gotera – Fonseca Gulf – Beach
08:00 | Depart to Puerto de la Unión, Fonseca Gulf |
09:30 | Fonseca Gulf Tour, reaching as far as Punta Chiquirín, Bocana del Golfo de Fonseca, Conchagüita Island, disembarking at Meanguera Island, for about 40 minutes, to keep on going to the area call Trifinio because is where you can see Nicaraguan lands and Honduran lands other than Salvadorean lands. Then you will move to Zacatillo Island for lunch. Here you find 3 restaurants where tourists may have lunch. They located right in front “Playona” Beach. |

14:00 | Depart to San Salvador. |
15:00 | Visit artisan market (free time to shop), Visit the metropolitan cathedral and tomb of the martyr Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez, walkthrough the Historic Center where you can enjoy delicious snacks and appreciate the beautiful lighting of the historic center, opportunity to take photos. |

Day 13 San Salvador
09:00 | Depart to El Boquerón National Park in San Salvador Volcano. |
12:30 | Lunch at Las Brumas restaurant with wonderful views of the capital city. |
14:30 | Return to the city of San Salvador, for a tour of the international handicraft market, last chance, and the right place to shop for your souvenirs from your experiences in El Salvador. |
17:00 | Departure to Olocuilta, the city of rice pupusas, where you will have the last opportunity to enjoy the typical national dish. Today you will end up at the Quality Inn Hotel near the airport (B, L, C) |
Day 14 Return to Canada
