Day 1. Airport – Capital San José
– We welcome you at the exit of the Juan Santamaría International Airport.
– Transfer to your Hotel in the Center of our capital, San José.
Day 2: Poas Volcano and Coffee Plantation
This day we are going to visit the majestic crater of the Poás Volcano with 1.5 kilometers in diameter and 300 meters deep, currently the volcano emits a large amount of gases and water vapor from the different fumaroles that are located in the inner cone of the crater. After a short walk, we will enjoy an excellent panoramic view.
In the same area we will enjoy a visit to Hacienda Alsacia, to visit plantations, processes of our so famous Costa Rican Coffee, until we get to taste the delicious variety of coffee that is prepared.
At the end of these visits we go to La Fortuna – Arenal Volcano
Day 3: Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge
The Caño Negro wildlife refuge is considered one of the richest places in the country for bird and animal watching. Apart from an abundance of bird species, Caño Negro is also a refuge for many other animals, such as sloths, three types of monkeys, alligators, iguanas, bats, and a variety of typical wetland flora.
Day 4.- Adventure in Paradise.
This day we leave it up to you how you want to live the adventure of your vacation. Choose one of the following excursions: Raft River Rapids, Canyoning Tour, Horseback Riding, ATv Tour.
Day 5: Enjoy attractions in La Fortuna – Arenal Volcano
This day’s excursion combines 2 of the main attractions in the area, starting with a visit to the Arenal Volcano National Park located 25 km from the center of La Fortuna. The hike lasts approximately 2 hours where you will have the opportunity to walk inside the secondary or regenerating forest of the national park and enjoy the impressive views of the colossus throughout the entire route and reach the point from where you can observe Lake Arenal.
At the end of the walk you will be able to enjoy a delicious typical lunch in the center of La Fortuna to continue with the second activity.
The Fortuna River Waterfall located 6 km from the center of town is a very popular attraction among travelers for its crystal clear waters and the 65-meter waterfall, the visit lasts 2.5 hours in total with a mixture of trails and poses where you can swim and enjoy the characteristic nature of the area.
In the afternoon and at night you can enjoy the delicious and relaxing Hot Springs that emanate directly from the Volcano at your hotel, living a unique and memorable experience.
Day 6 – Morning rest and in the afternoon transfer to Rio Celeste
In a trip of approximately we will arrive at the magical area of Río Celeste, a place to get in touch with nature.
Day 7 – Rio Celeste Waterfall and Arenal Volcano National Park
We will walk on the slopes of the Tenorio Volcano where a wonder of nature hides: Rio Celeste Waterfall, Lake, Teñideros and much more. On this tour you will enjoy an exciting and intense walk. The journey is about 4 miles (5 km) through Primary and Secondary Forest, of medium elevation. The total of the tour is approximately 3 hours.
Day 8 – Transfer to Monteverde
In the morning hours and after breakfast we will start the trip to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. After 3 hours of travel, we will arrive directly at your hotel.
With an almost mystical environment due to the cloudiness in the area, the region is a lush and dense place with unparalleled greenery and that is where we will perform at 1:00 p.m. the walk of approximately two hours through the trails and Hanging Bridges of Selvatura Park.
Day 9 – Monteverde Biological Reserve Hike.
The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is home to thousands of species of plants and animals.
Turn your gaze to the top of the gigantic trees where more than 500 species of birds live. The most popular birds in this region are the elusive queztal and the bellbird.
Put your feet on the Continental Divide, where one foot will be on the Caribbean side and one foot on the Pacific side. With views of both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, this reserve is filled with a wide variety of towering trees laden with epiphytes.
Afternoon of rest and relaxation.
Day 10 – Transfer to the South Pacific Manuel Antonio
Costa Rica is a wonderful country that has many things to offer and Manuel Antonio is one of its jewels that we recommend visiting during your vacations. The impressive flora and fauna that you can discover by visiting the National Park, and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. A unique environment for relaxation.
Day 11 – Rest in Manuel Antonio
In the morning visit the Manuel Antonio National Park, walk along trails, and enjoy the white sand beach.
Rest in the afternoon.
Day 12 – Rest in Manuel Antonio.
